TMA04 result back
73%, so chuffed with that. I actually eTMA'd it which was scary and new. Ridiculous really as I am an IT person for my job, yet I was terrified of eTMA-ing!!
I do loathe witting and unwitting testimony I will confess, and no way in hell am I doing ANYTHING that involves analysing primary sources after this one.
Not sure what I will do next to be honest, however the next tutorial is next choices so will have to think it over.
I wasnt crazy about TMA05. I mean I loved Rousseau and the Social Contract was great but comparing a picture to a piece of philosopfy was challenging to say the least and my paper was really awful on it. Just have to see what the result is, but I am not holding out much hope.
I have decided to do history for TMA06, dont think I can do religion. Its too close to my heart and I cant deal with the idiot writer critising it. History is great tho, and Wallace is very interesting. I didnt realise there was so much going on and so many people racing to the same opinion.
Real question now is 'Was Wallace a victim of our preoccupation with superheros' and of so why? :-)
Later A103ers xxxx

Back from Rome, a few pounds lighter, and TMA04
Well Rome was great
Apart from the pick pocket on the bus, who swiped my mum's purse from her bag and my purse from my sister's bag. DOH
Bloody nuisance as it had all my money, credit cards, debit cards, piccies of my son etc in it
Faith in human nature was somewhat restored when a lovely English girl who worked in a city centre hotel found my mum's purse (less money of course!) and looked her up on BT.com and phoned my Dad to say she had got it. Thus my mum got her library card, bus pass, license and 'stuff' back which was great
But Rome!! Well.. amazing. Colosseum is HUGE and very impressing, panatine hill, Forum, Pantheon are all great. Food was lovely, so I made up for loosing my money by gaining a few lbs!!!
Had my next tutorial last night, and feel I need to do some work on this. Got lots of reading to do, and need to start getting my head round extracting info from historical documents. Am I the only one, who cant spot a witting statement?!
Oh well, I am sure Rousseau and I will become firm friends before long :-)
